Pépites de chaga

Chaga chunks, a mushroom that grows on birch trees. Gently simmered in water, they create a warm beverage with woody and earthy notes, reminiscent of coffee.

Gourmet Sauvage, based in Mont-Blanc (formerly Saint-Faustin), in the Laurentians, offers chaga hand-harvested in Quebec, in a responsible manner: it is only harvested once it has reached a certain size, only a portion is taken, and care is taken not to harm the tree. According to the member, it is vegan, gluten-free, and non-GMO.

Format: 40 g bag.

Ingredients: chaga.

Suggested use: use 14 g of chunks per liter of water and heat gently for 3 to 4 hours. Strain before serving.

Storage: keep the chunks in an airtight container, away from moisture and light. Once prepared, the drink can be kept in the refrigerator for several weeks, according to the member.
